It goes without saying, the media is annoying. It is the media’s job to be annoying. – Campbell Brown
Is it really true that, as Campbell Brown asserts, it is the media’s job to be annoying? I find that particularly hard to swallow unless Ms. Brown is trying to make a pitiful excuse for the...

The Media’s Job
The New Police State
With news now confirming what most of us already know, the United States of America is now officially a police state. Our own government has been doing to us what we only read about in George Orwell’s 1984. The government is now spying on us and eavesdropping on our conversations all in the name...

McCain should tell us how to catch Bin Laden
I’ll get Osama bin Laden, my friends. I’ll get him. I know how to get him.
I’ll get him no matter what and I know how to do it. But I’m not going to telegraph my punches – Senator John McCain
We’ve heard so much from senator John McCain about how he’ll “get Bin Laden”. The...

A Haven for Lobbyists
For a presidential candidate who claims for be gearing up to fight the special interests and lobbyists, the campaign of Senator John McCain seems to be infested with the lobbyists he is promising to “fight”. The truth of the matter is, McCain advisors and fundraisers have been registered lobbyists for Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.
When the chips are down
The economy changes the dynamics so much that people don’t care what race, or creed, or gender you are. If the economy is in such decay, they’re going to want somebody who can make a change.” – Morgan Jackson, a North Carolina Democratic political consultant
Joe Klein goes ballistic on McPalin’s ass!
Joe Klein of Time magazine says:
I’m of two minds about how to deal with the McCain campaign’s further descent into ugliness. Their strategy is simple: you throw crap against a wall and then giggle as the media try to analyze the putresence in a way that conveys a sense of balance: “Well, it is...

The New Yorker Endorses Obama
This is worth quoting in full:
“Never in living memory has an election been more critical than the one fast approaching—that’s the quadrennial cliché, as expected as the balloons and the bombast. And yet when has it ever felt so urgently true? When have so many Americans had so clear a sense that a Presidency...

The world according to Sarah Palin
Sarah Palin wants to be president and should the country be stupid and unfortunate enough to elect John McCain, then we will see the end of days and armageddon the Republicans are trying to scare us about. There is talk about the anti-christ, but no one said it has to be a man! Given that she is one of those rare cultist mold of people who believe strongly in witch-doctors and their prophecies, there is no telling what she has been told by her pastor. Watching the video of her testimony about the coming to pass of the promise that she would be governor, there is an ingrained belief in this woman that her selection as the vice presidential running mate of John McCain is a divine ordination. Since the divinity worked for her the first time, there is no reason why it would not work this time. This is the dangerous human being that senator John McCain, in a decision driven by blind ambition and total disregard for the well-being of this country he professesto love so much, unleashed on all of us. She admires former vice presidents who went on to be presidents. McCain is almost 74 years old, so do the math. This woman is one serious sexual encounter by John McCain away from the presidency. So as we watch Sarah Palin this few weeks leading to the election, we will hear a lot of theories about divine intervention and an attempt to rain fire and brimstone on those who oppose this messenger from God. All I can say is, remember what happened to Joan of Arc.
No she didn’t say that!
“We don’t want (Hispanics) to become the new African-American community,” “And that’s what the Democratic Party is going to do to them, create more programs and give them handouts, food stamps and checks for this and checks for that. We don’t want that.”
“I’m very much afraid that the Democratic Party is going to do the same thing that they did with the African-American culture and make them all dependent on the government and we don’t want that,” – Didi Lima, GOP communications director in Clark County, Nevada:
The Socio-Political Theory of John McCain
“In all due respect, people going around and… sticking a microphone while conversations are being held, and then all of a sudden that’s—that’s a person’s position… This is a free country…” – Senator John McCain
The more this campaign cycle goes on, the more Americans seem to be getting to know what can aptly be...
