We are all Georgians? What the…..

September 3, 2008

I caught the last phase of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s speech at the GOP Convention today and I must say, there was a reason that idiotic fool did not make it in the Republican presidential primaries. In the first place, that the Republican party that touts itself as holier-than-thou, all-about-family party will give a man who can not even keep a family together and has a plethora of broken marriages and failed relationships the podium to deliver a “keynote” speech says a lot about where the party is heading. Rudy Giuliani was an adulterer when he was Mayor of New York. While addressing the GOP convention, he forgot that the primaries were over and was a bully on stage, an arrogant bastard who still thinks the world revolves around the issue of terrorism. Scare tactics worked in 2004, Mr. Giuliani, but this is 2008 and if you were able to pull your head out of your ass, you will notice that the economy is driving folks into the ground, not dropping bombs on other nations. You will have noticed that we are all Americans and that saying that we should prevent the death of more American soldiers, in addition to the almost 5,000 who have been lost to the war in Iraq, is not “giving up on America”. Thank God you did not come to the convention with another wife, or did you, Mayor Giuliani?

When Mayor Giuliani says that “Barack Obama has never led anything. Nothing. Nada”, why is he (Giuliani) not the one accepting the nomination of his party? Did Senator Obama not just lead a political campaign that took on a political establishment called the Clintons? Has he not managed a campaign fund that has kept him going when everyone else was struggling? Why do political attack dogs like Giuliani believe they have to fart to make a point? And what was all that nonsense about us being Georgians? Bloody retard, as the Bristish will politely put it..

When Giuliani charges that Senator Obama has “never run a city, never run a state, never run a business”, I would say so what? If that was a major qualification, why is he (Giuliani) not the presidential candidate? While we are at it, he also forgot to mention that Senator Obama never had 12 wives, or that our current president (George W. Bush) who ran a business and a state is on the verge of being the worst president in American history. Oh, he should not forget that Mr. Olympic himself, Gov. Mitt Romney who ran a business could not even run a simple political campaign. The Republican party has never being this discombobulated. When you look at the likes of Mitt Romney and Mayor Giuliani, it is not very difficult to deduce why – a party of convoluted nincompoops, self-righteous wallabies and utterly self-deluded idiots.

Perhaps, Peggy Noonan said it best about the apogee of Rudy Giuliani’s out-of-touch tactic at the GOP convention:

“…on the subject of the leaders of the Republican party…(there is the assumption that) whatever the base of the Republican party thinks is what America thinks. I made the case that this is no longer true, that party leaders seem to me stuck in the assumptions of 1988 and 1994, the assumptions that reigned when they were young and coming up,” she writes.  “The first lesson they learned is the one they remember. …[T]hat’s over, those assumptions are yesterday, the party can no longer assume that its base is utterly in line with the thinking of the American people. And when I said, “It’s over!” — and I said it more than once — that is what I was referring to.”
